8月11日下午，一列從浦東國際機場始發(fā)的磁懸浮列車，在駛抵龍陽路車站時，其中一節(jié)車廂起火。好在消防人員及時趕赴現(xiàn)場，并無大的人員傷亡。經(jīng)初步分析，車載蓄電池故障導致此次火警事故的可能性較大。

Investigations conducted by Chinese and German technical experts show that the mainframe and parts of the carriage damaged by the fire were，"basically in good condition," according to a spokesman with the Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Company.

翻譯“車載蓄電池”，其難點在于“車載”，報道中的onboard（storage battery）恰到好處地表達了“車載”的含義。Board常用來指“搭乘交通工具”，如We went on board the ship.（我們登上了輪船）；He boarded the bus.（他上了公共汽車）。相應的，onboard則用來形容“在車上，隨車攜帶的”。

另外，再順便提兩個詞組：（fall）overboard指“從船上落入水中”，如：A man overboard!（有人落水!）；若看到off-board，千萬別以為和交通工具有關，off-board常用于股票市場，指“場外的”，如：an off-board transaction.（場外交易）。
